Do we need to crowdsource a new Australian Constitution? Does anything matter more than the environment? Should Australia become a republic with an Australian head of state? Should whistleblowers be protected? Is representative democracy antiquated? Controversial artist Carl Scrase is asking these questions in a new project that mixes street art posters with political activism and aims to go viral through social media.

Once a year people all over the Earth go to places that they love and where they live that have been damaged, and they bring attention, curiosity, a sense of adventure, and beauty there. In the process we give back to the places that have given so much to us.

Mis(s)placed Women? (2009-2022), is a collaborative art project, consisting of performances, performance series, performance art workshops and delegated performances, including contributions by over 180 individuals from six continents. Many of them are artists, mainly identifying themselves as women from diverse backgrounds. Mis(s)placed Women?

The yarn bombing started with Louise Moerup’s school run in central Copenhagen. On the walk through the park each morning, she and her 10-year-old son would often discuss a naked statue of the goddess Venus there and wonder why there weren’t more statues of real women instead.

It encourages individuals to create their own unique interpretations of $100 bills, symbolizing the value of human lives and the need for a lead-free future.

In June of 1987, a small group of strangers gathered in a San Francisco storefront to document the lives they feared history would neglect. Their goal was to create a memorial for those who had died of AIDS, and to thereby help people understand the devastating impact of the disease.
