From March 14, 2010 to May 31, 2010, in the Museum of Modern Art, Marina Abramović held an activist art called The Artist Is Present. In the exhibition, there were simply a pair of chairs and a desk. Abramović sat on one chair, and the participators could sit on another chair voluntarily. Without a word, Abramović and the participators just looked at each other’s eyes.

It was research for his main pursuit: using art to advocate for better treatment of people in menial jobs in a city with one of the widest income gaps in the world.

Anjali Mehta is an illustrator from New Delhi, India. She is primarily known for her graphic shapes, gentle lines, bold colors, and strong female subjects. She is also designing a series titled Enroute Extinction that uses the same bright colors and familiar layout of a postage stamp. This series highlights animal species in India that are at risk of extinction.

From the two shores of the Mediterranean, Zoukak theatre company and cultural association (Beirut) and Center for cultural decontamination CZKD (Belgrade) collaborates by sharing their experiences and knowledge in working within sociopolitical contexts in the field of art and culture.
