My Model Body
Practitioner:
IOANA (Ioana Urma)
Date:
Apr 7 2013
The humorously critical project offered people an opportunity to compare themselves to the supermodel silhouette: face to face in the imaginary impression of a mirror, or at real physical scale. The idea was born out of a serious concern with the publicized woman's body - our social obsession with thin ideals - that falls nowhere close to average or, for the majority of the population, healthy.

Practitioner:
IOANA (Ioana Urma)
Date:

Three colorful fabric tunnels span a man-made grove of Elm trees in downtown Boston, defining an intimate courtyard where nature clashes with cartoonish representation.

First Hologram Protest in Spain against Gag Law
Practitioner:
Holograms for Freedom
Date:
Apr 11 2015
Spanish citizens held the first hologram protest in history in order to protest without violating the new draconian guidelines of the National Security Act, the new amendments to the Penal Code and the Anti-terror law. Thousands of people marched past a Spanish parliament building in Madrid over the weekend weekend to protest the new law that they say endangers civil liberties. But none of them were actually there.

iPod's Dirty Secrete
Practitioner:
The Neistat Brothers
Date:
Apr 24 2003
The Neistat Brothers first attracted public attention in 2003 with their blatantly critical work, iPod’s Dirty Secret. After being refused a replacement battery for an 18-month old iPod, [they] took to the streets of Manhattan on their bikes to sabotage iPod’s omnipresent advertising.
