On January 21, 2014, McDonald’s asked its customers to tweet supportive messages to the Olympians who would compete in the Sochi Games, along with the hashtag #CheersToSochi. However, within a couple of days, LGBT activists essentially hijacked the hasthtag from McDonalds.

Devised, constructed and carried out all within 24 hours, the Future Republic of Macedonia of the Former Republic of Macedonia opened its borders for 2 hours on Saturday 22nd March, 2014.
New Beijing, New Marriage is a documentary shot by Fan Popo, a Chinese gay rights activist in 2009. The film recorded that a gay couple and a lesbian couple, who were volunteers instead of real homosexual couples, were having their wedding photos taken at Qianmen Street on Valentine’s Day. Qianmen Street is a crowded and famous shopping street in Beijing.
Even if the idea of interactive theater gives you hives, you can still find amusement, and perhaps enlightenment, at Forum Theatre’s “The T Party,” a bold and inventive exploration of gender identity by local writer-director Natsu Onoda Power. The play begins as a progressive party you’ll be encouraged to join, but fear not. You can remain a mere observer.
