Civil activists set up a giant loaf of bread on the small square of a bus stop near the Cathedral Store in Center to remind passersbys that a large number of their fellow citizens live below the poverty threshold.

"Bread for all" is written under the installation. The civic action aims to remind civilians and the government that the poverty rate in Macedonia is 21.5 percent, or over 450,000 people live in poverty. Of these, only 70,000 can afford three worthy meals a week. Over 100,000, however, live on less than 100 denars a day.
