Frazier's A HAUNTED CAPITAL series creates a personal chronicle of her town, Braddock, Pennsylvania's decline. By turning the camera onto herself and her family, Frazier explores the relationship between individual and collective ills. Braddock, which was once home to one of America's first steel mills and in many ways represented the American Dream, now has a population of under 2,500, with a third of the town's inhabitants below the poverty line, and many more( including the Fraziers) suffering from illness's resulting from the area's industrial toxicity.
