On October 6th, 2007, we beat a new world record. Thousands of people in cities all across Spain simultaneously shouted: “You won’t own a house IN YOUR WHOLE FUCKING LIFE!” The decibels radiating from this collective cry were registered by an interactive meter, baptized “The Fuck-o-meter” for the occasion.
Zoo Portraits is a humorous photo series by Barcelona-based photographer Yago Partal that matches animal heads with human bodies. Partal amazingly matches animals to appropriate human bodies and even manages to match their personalities and styles.
This project was made by the foundation Obra Social la Caixa with the intention to change the conversation and strategies while working with youngsters. Before this initiative, say the Director Claudio Zulian, the foundation would speak only about the lives of these girls and boys. However, they decided to involve them inside other stories as actors of a film project.
While this protest draws quick and reactive attention and awareness to the issue at hand; it does fail to make clear the message that they intend to protest. The audience, which seems to be the general public, may focus on the scandal of the protest. The the vulgar display people as a bloody pieve of meat. Yet, these shocking images do draw the viewer to the cruel way animals are handled by the meat industry.

El consejero de interior, Felip Puig, niega que esto se produjese. Sin embargo, desde 1990 son ya 23 las personas a las que este tipo de proyectiles ha dejado tuertas.
Un hombre trajeado viaja en el Metro. Utilizando frases clásicamente asociadas a la mendicidad, las invierte. En vez de anunciar precariedad económica y un estado de necesidad, afirma ser un banquero, sin cargas familiares, que no está perseguido por la justicia. Ofrece monedas a los viajeros, diciendo que si las cogen, ello le hará sentir mejor.
