In 1998 Hacker-Poet-Artist Yucef Mehri breached the security of CANTV at the time the largest telecommunications company in Venezuela. He was able to access the personal data kept by the company which contained the names, addresses, phone numbers, working places, and even checking accounts, credit cards, and expiration dates of it's customers.

In an act remarkably prefigurative of the journalistic behaviour of the NSA scandal of 2013 Yucef arranged this information into a massive data visualisation which was publicly exhibited at the Iberoamerican Art Fair, which was sponsored by CANTV. The act therefore appropriates the corporations own funds in the revealing of its surveillance activities. Stripping any sense of the companies security or ability to promise it.
