27Million aims to combat human sex trafficking and modern day slavery. They state that they are "a group of passionate individuals that are on a mission to network and resource grassroots organizations that are the frontlines of rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring human trafficking victims."

One way they do this is by throwing block parties on the corners where there is known sex trafficking and prostitution. At these block parties they have food, give the women manicures, dance, and talk with them. They view this as a way to "neutralize the corner from sex trafficking that is going on." In this way they attempt to lift the women's spirits and give them a break, even if just for one night. These block parties are also highly visible to people driving and walking by, reminding them of the ever-present sex trafficking in their communities.
